Finnish frontman Ville Vallo's retreat from the rock n' roll lifestyle was ruined recently by the hard drinking ways of Lapland reindeer herders. While the singer had planned on spending some time relaxing and writing new music, he was forced to throw out his musical creations as they were primarily inspired by alcohol. Vallo said, "I came up with some ideas but it wasn't very beneficial for my liver, let's put it that way. I was drinking with these guys who have herds of reindeer. It was good fun but I met the strangest people in the mountains and we got drunk." In other news, scientists have announced that they are one step closer to solving the riddle of Rudolph's red nose.

I wish one of those reindeer weirdos would have slipped something into his beer, kidnapped him, took him to a secluded cabin in those mountains, tied him down and made him listen to his old Black Sabbath and Cathedral CDs to remind him of his roots. After losing his way with Dark Light, I hope he makes good on his promises to ROCK on HIM's next release.
