Well apparently it's weird enough for my boyfriend to have heard about it ...... I thought my ears were broken when he told me "Did you know HIM has a new record?" .... and worse, when he told me, I really didn't know
Im listening to the IVV remix right now. Where can you actually listen to others? As Ingrid said, some samples are available? Anyone mind telling me where?

Absolutly cannot stand remix albums! will only get it if i see it real cheap in the future for the collection and plus i thought the original album was pretty darn good as it was thanks!

The previews on iTunes sound a bit like a missed chance. I love electronic music but some of these tracks seem to have turned out a little cheesy and old fashioned.

I hate myself a little bit for saying this, but the Dj Tiësto-remix of Love, The Hardest Way is really good.

That's also the only remotely good thing on this "album".

Havent had chance to listen to it yet as only bought it on Sunday and have 2 other albums to listen to first.

It's amusing and interesting, that's for sure. Keeping a light sense of humor about it all is likely the best way to look at this project. The standout for me, however, was Dying Song which was remixed by Ville's brother, Jesse. He did his brother proud, I think. It's really the only song on the album where we can get any real sense of Ville's voice in the mix. Nice job, Jesse!

You're right, i just heard it and it's quite good! i liked it a lot!!

There the odd remix thats actually good, but most are terrible or average. The terrible arent even what I would class as a remix, theyre basically a dance track with the odd lyric thrown in. In some cases I wouldnt have known the song if I hadnt double checked the track listing. Its basically a poor xmas cash in, the best thing about it is in fact the cover, which I love and wished they had saved for the next album.

Remix albums are a bit weird in my opinion. Kinda wonder why they are done, whether the band are just messing around/having fun, or are bored of the original versions of the songs.
Most of SWRMX is just odd, the Acoustic Funeral/Like St. Valentine/Katherine Wheel one was the only one that I thought was good.
