Ode to solitude is my favorite song of the album and now the music video. I think it`s one of the best Him videos. I like real stuff from the concerts, interviews, backstage. Therewith the video made in black&white style. I love it!

I don't think it's like an official video, who said that? Still there are some really nice shots in in, who wouldn't get weak knees here.....

I think that video may be real regardless of how quick it came out after Scared to Death. All that footage is official footage from the tour so it would be hard to come by for anyone trying to make a fan video. Not so sure the song is a good choice for a single though, I'd have thought Love, the Hardest Way, Disarm Me or Like St Valentine would be better. Shatter me with Hope would be even better but I don't think they'll release that

Personally the video does not suit the song at all, for the footage used in the way it has been a slower song is needed. For this type of video to work with the song it needed more fun and action type moments plus the live footage needed to be cut better. Basically the director hasnt a clue about using music in film and getting it to work together in harmony, I couldve done a much better video in that style and for half the fee, in fact I wouldve done it for free! The only good bit is the end with Gas doing the metal horns!

I think the whole idea of doing videos for nearly every song has been a waste of time as only a couple of good videos have come from it, I would rather they used the money to produce just a couple of classic well done videos like Scared to Death than produce loads of half assed cheap ones

I agree with both Evelyn and Kak. The video has pretty decent shots and, like Katherinelove, I also love videos with scenes taken from backstage & stuff like that (*points at KoL Use Somebody*). About the weak knees..well...guilty as charged.
Like Kak said, these shots could have definitely been better used and are not in harmony with the song. I still don't know the record that well - apart from Heartkiller - because I have only listened to it twice. It's a nice piece to watch, though.
