i bought a recent Kerrang issue because 30 Seconds to Mars was on the cover and in the very last page there is a quiz they made to Ville and i thought it was amusing so i decided to transcribe it here:

"It was something shit but i can't remember. I was in Finland and it was held in LA, so because of the time difference, I found out the next day that we lost. I think it was some sort of country and western box set"

"Well, that would be [Jackass star] Steve-O. He's a lovely guy so i hope he's doing well; i haven't seen him in ages. The last party i went to before going into rehab was with Steve-O. i'm not blaming him, I should say"

"December 19. That's one of the only birthdays i remember. He normally goes out to the countryside and steals a Christmas tree to celebrate. I don't even know when my parents' birthdays are. They have to remind me"

"Gotham Roll"
Kerrang: Not according to wikipedia.
"Well, Gotham Roll was the working title. What does wikipedia say? Slippery When Dead? That's wrong. We made a T-shirt with that on but we never referred to the album as that.
Kerrang: You know best! Another point.

"Blah, blah, blah summer wine. Do i get a point?"
Kerrang: "No"
"I was so fucked up when we recorded that song - I blame drink and drugs for forgetting the lyrics! We recorded it in Hamburg, where i have a lot of friends. All i remember from that session was a succession of titty bars. In the four days i was there, I slept for three hours. It was a blast but the recording was a bit hazy. Just watch the video if you want to see how fucked up i was. I had to have a lyric sheet in front of me because i couldn't even remember the words on the shoot."

"Given how much i smoke, i should really know the answer to this. It all depends on what's considred a public place. Smoking's not banned on the street but i guess they mean libraries and bank offices. Sorry, don't know"

"No clue and i'm not interested, either. It's The Baseballs? Fuck them"

"Fuck, I didn't realise anyone else had! I check and double-check that sort of thing. I ripped it off from a book by a Norwegian author. Was it someone famous? I hope it's someone like Rick Wakeman!
Kerrang: It was a Gary Numan live album.
"Ah! I appreciate Gary Numan and his music but i'm not sure i actually like it too much. It's a bit too cold for me"

How Ville scored: 9 out of 15
The K! veredict: A strong start in which Ville even pointed out the errors in the quiz. But not being able to remember your own songs is unforgivable! A strong local knowledge rescued the Finnish singer, though, resulting in a solid score.
