i still don't understand how can they have so many sound problems in the same tour

I'm curious for your report, Karne, espeically with this quote.

As for the sound problems, I can understand the reaction since apparently it's an every shows problem and surely annoying, just why can't it be fixed? Can't imagine the sound guy is so incapable, after all he's been there at every tour I think.

It's probably just me being impatient, but I start to wonder about the autumn tour in Europe. Did you get it like an it's going to happen thing when Ville was talking about coming back to the UK in October? You should think somewhere around this time HIM will be back also in Germany, at least he said at the Berlin gig (not at the one in Hamburg, maybe Dortmund?) they're gonna be back, though not when exactly. I also remember the interviews where he said it all depends on how the album is doing, though this was probably related to the countries they hardly visit, if at all. Since the album doesn't seem to be doing too well (cannot understand this at all, hopefully with the release of the next single it will get better again), I wonder what the autumn tour will look like...

Evelyn, yeah i got it like an 'it's going to happen' thing when Ville said they'd be back around October, he didn't say maybe or anything like that he said something like "but don't worry, we'll be coming back around Halloween", not exactly like that but it sounded pretty official... so i hope it is!!!

oh my, it was absolutely amazing. Much better than the first time I saw them back in October of 07. Their set was a bit short, but I didn't mind because I still had the best night of my life. I went with my best friend who I'm also head over heels for and when they played Right Here In My Arms we were dancing and hugging. So because of that feel, I have to say that it was the best performance of the night. I was too distracted by singing and stuff, that I didn't take many pictures..and the ones that I did, didn't come out fantastically. Maybe I'll put the album on my facebook with the pictures on here. The whole band looked good and I can't wait to see them come around again...because I'll buy tickets in a heartbeat.

I'm working on a project -- a glorified clipping service -- for someone who needs to stay up-to-date on developments in the big wide world of media. It involves hours of Internet work, which leaves me behind on everything elso.

Going back weeks in time to the Boston gig, the issue there was how badly lit the HIM part of the evening was. I was flabbergasted that they would have lights set in a way that made it hard to actually see the band. Meanwhile, lights from onstage would repetitively shine out on the audience. Rather annoying.

As for the music, I can't say I liked Drive A -- too juvenile. I also wasn't impressed by such things as frontman Bruno Mascolo encouraging the audience to join in shouting "Fuck You" for no apparent reason.

Dommin and We Are the Fallen were much better, and I do give HIM credit for providing such a full program of warm-up bands.

As for HIM themselves, they did OK. I believe Ville was perturbed that Migé was impaired by preconcert pot, though I can't swear this was the case since I didn't understand what Ville was saying most of the time when he spoke. All in all, a merely satisfactory experience, thankfully enlivened by conversation with the interesting woman from Connecticut I was standing next to.
