I like Venus Doom, I love DS&BH and I really love GLV, RR and LM.
However, I cannot stand Dark Light. The only song I can listen to on that album is Venus (in our blood), and thats a BONUS-track!

I think every album is surprising, and you like it or not. All their songs are really different in each way.
I really like every album, including Dark Light, so I'm looking forward to their new album ;D

And you are very well entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine :)
The only surprise I got from Dark Light was that they had totally been Americanized IMO.
However, I think they got back a little to the older sound with Venus Doom.
Im hoping for an album with the mix of RR and LM.

That would be awsome
And you are totally right about the americanized part, and i believe thats why the majority of the older fans lost their interest on them..

True =)

The other albums are much softer than Venus Doom..
It would be awsome if they mix it! I'm so curious  Hope the album will come soon!

You girls are right. I guess the whole 'american scene' started more or less in the Love Metal era but, somehow (fortunately), it managed to escape. From the Greatest Hits until now they lost a lot of things. It natural for a band to have its evolution but I'm not that happy with theirs. They became less..finnish, so to speak. Even in the videos. "Solitary Man" video just gives me the creeps. I'll leave the involvement of Warner aside because that was definitely the downfall. -_-
Ma petite Amélie...Si vous laissez passer cette chance, alors avec le temps c'est votre coeur qui va devenir aussi sec et cassant...que mon squelette.

If they stay on the Venus Doom track (not sound the same but that positive track) then I'll like the new album, I'm sure. Because I really do like Venus Doom.
I mean compared to GLS666 and RR its not as good, but compared to Dark Light its an amazing album.

I quite liked Love Metal, its catchy, and too many good memories with that album to just not like it.

I'm not a fan of DSBH... never have been, never will be. It bores me.

Dark Light... urgh. Terrible. I listened to it 3 or 4 times and since then i've never touched it again.
I've been trying all my life to break free
It's like a big bad fight that never ends
You know what I'm saying
First I was a soldier
Then I was a rebel
Then a runaway, and I've been running ever since
But it's like everything is in my way,
Everything, even my head, my body...

That's what I like about HIM =)

Ok.
I'm looking forward.
Haven't heard anything good coming from them ever since Love Metal.

uhm..you're kidding, right?

I think she's not, and I agree with her. Love Metal was their last decent album. I honestly have no hope of them producing anything worth listening to anymore... but that's just me :sorry:

Agree too. But I still hope they come up with something good. Barely listened to Dark Light & Venus Doom. Also bought Digital Versatile Doom but..meh, played it a couple of times. I think that's basically the reason why I keep buying their records, because I'm expecting something good. Call me a dreamer..

I think my opinion is a bit different...I actually liked Venus Doom a lot, especially Sleepwalking Past hope & Passion's Killing Floor. I respect your opinions and I can see where you are coming from. Love Metal was their best album and it's not easy to make another album that could possibly be as good as Love Metal. I still find it hard to believe that you didn't like anything they've made ever since.

Never said I didn't liked anything after Love Metal, I said it wasn't good
Music has to be a hell lot more than just "likeable" for it to be considered as good.

- All of the songs for the album are ready except two. These two will be finalized this week.
- Recording is scheduled to begin on August.
- It takes place in Los Angeles.
- The producer is from the US.
guess the boys are really taking it easy?

Yeah. They really seemed to enjoy their lives. The band (except Ville?) attended to meet & greet organized at Helsinki Ice Hall in connection with Heaven and Hell's (early 1980s line-up of Black Sabbath) gig. "
И немного о новой ночи Хим на радио.Слова Celtic Angel:
"Just an FYI I'm in the process of setting up Euro-Rock Radio's next HIM Night and at the moment it's scheduled for next Tuesday, June 9. And we will most likely have some exclusive news on the new album, just waiting for final details. If we can't announce it on the 9th we'll push HIM Night back to the 23rd when we can."

Is it really gonna be called "Screamworks: Love in Theory and practice"
???
Thats what Heartagram.com is saying and Im just kinda like what the fuck...
It might just be me and I hope I don't get a bunch of shit for this but I really don't like it.
What the hell does Screamworks mean?
And I read that they're getting Matt Squire to produce the record?
He is an American record producer who has produced albums under such genre's as "Pop Punk, Power pop, rock, and Indie".
Not exactly the picture painted in my head when I think of HIM.
I Pray to all that is right that this album doesn't blow.
