I finally found this picture. It took me 3 years, but with the help of Kari, I finally found the shot. (Get a life, I know). This picture was taken at a car race in Finland in 1979. Ville was 3 years old with a pacifier in his mouth and a blue baseball hat on his head. He has on big yellow ear protectors and is being held by Anita.

I translated the caption for the picture that reads:

“Ear protectors at a drag competition are almost necessary because the noise is deafening. There aren’t only cars, but also very loud music and all-out screaming. Good ear protection can be bought for the reasonable price of 30-50 markaa so that lack of money doesn’t mean hearing damage. Protection can be purchased in advance.”

Kind of sounds like a HIM concert ... who knew what the future held for Ville Valo.

You're very welcome! I had mentioned that this picture existed a few years ago here at himclub, and a lot of people started jumping all over me about it, telling me to get a life, etc. So, I backed off on trying to post it or anything. But, I just received the actual picture and thought it was so cute that I just had to share it with everybody. It's probably a pretty rare picture since I've never seen it anywhere at HIM sites.
