The morning of Midsummer's eve

23rd June is the day of the year when almost all Estonians celebrate Midsummer's eve (also called St John's day). People go outside, light fires, have fun, barbecue, spend time with friends and family and of course get drunk

After couple of years I'm having plans for tonight. I've used to spend Midsummer's eve at home or with relatives or wherever my parents have decided to go to. But this year couple of my friends offered that we could have our own "party" with barbecue and stuff.

Yesterday evening we were running around the stores and tried to figure out what to buy for drinking. We were really sure we don't want beer and certainly we don't want to drink wine. I guess buying a drink has never been that much of a problem for us as it was yesterday. Especially because me and one my friend have worked in a bar and know some really good cocktails. So since we were unable to decide we bought some Smirnoff Ice as a light drink and some rum and cola and sprite... nothing fancy. The most boring drinks ever. But we had to take something as the stores were getting closed.

As for Midsummer's eve traditions one is certainly weather. I can't really remember a year when it wouldn't have rained on Midsummer's eve. And guess what kind of weather do we have outside right now? YES! It's raining -_- stupid thing. And it seems it will continue to rain for a longer time...

But no matter what kind of a weather it will be tonight when we meet I'm sure we'll have some fun, get drunk and I hope I won't forget my camera home to have some drunk photos
